PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Kristen S. Edwards is a passionate legal advocate, with over a decade of experience advancing the legal interests of her clients in complicated business, real estate, and commercial transactions. After growing up assisting around the office in her father’s law practice, Ms. Edwards earned her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication, then went on to earn an MBA, all while playing in or helping coach NCAA Div 1 Volleyball. While in law school, Ms. Edwards edited the Oregon Law Review. As an excellent communicator with a deep understanding of law and the dynamics of business and business relationships, she will work for your team’s success as well.
Ms. Edwards handles business policies and procedures, employee handbooks, succession plans, and corporate records; and coordinates compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including the ADA, FHA, FDCPA, HIPAA, and professional licensing and accreditation standards, in both the for profit and non profit sectors.
Additionally, Ms. Edwards crafts, negotiates, and manages enforcement of a wide range of business and real estate contracts and related documents, including purchase/sale agreements, employment agreements, operating/business partnership agreements, demand letters, licensing agreements, non-competition agreements, nondisclosure agreements, commercial leases, security agreements, vendor agreements, negotiable instruments, and corporate resolutions.
